[RELEASE] 🎬 Self-Hosted YouTube Downloader — No Ads, No Malware, Just Your Damn Video

Free Video Downloader for YouTube & Playlists — No Account, No Tracking

We Need to Talk About YouTube Downloaders

You wanted to save ONE video.

Maybe it’s a tutorial that’ll get deleted. Maybe you’re going on a flight. Maybe you just don’t trust the internet to keep anything forever (smart).

So you Google “YouTube downloader.”

And now you’re balls-deep in:

  • Seventeen fake “DOWNLOAD NOW” buttons
  • A popup asking if you want to meet local singles
  • Some extension trying to crawl up your browser like a parasite
  • A progress bar that’s been at 99% for forty-five minutes
  • And still
 no fucking video

Every. Single. Time.

Someone finally said “enough” and built something that isn’t a digital STD.

What Is This Thing?

It’s a YouTube downloader you run yourself.

You paste a link → you get the video → you download it like a normal human being.

That’s literally it.

  • No ads
  • No account
  • No “please disable your adblocker ”
  • No mystery Chrome extension that sells your browsing history to data brokers in Eastern Europe

Just
a video. That you wanted. Downloaded.

Revolutionary concept, apparently.

How It Works (Baby Mode Explanation)

  1. You paste a YouTube link
  2. You click download
  3. The video opens in your browser
  4. You right-click → Save
  5. Done. You have the video. On your computer. Forever.

There’s even a cute little webpage included so you don’t have to touch any code or terminal nonsense. Just paste and click like it’s 2008 and the internet still made sense.

“But What About Playlists?”

Yeah, it does those too.

Paste a playlist link → get up to 10 videos at once with download links for each.

Why only 10? Because unlimited scraping is how projects die and developers lose the will to live. Be grateful.

The Part Where I’m Honest With You

This isn’t magic. It’s not going to:

  • Download private videos you don’t have access to
  • Bypass YouTube’s “are you a robot?” checks 100% of the time
  • Work forever without YouTube eventually getting pissy about it

Sometimes YouTube throws a tantrum. When that happens, you’ll get a clean error message instead of the tool just
lying to you and pretending everything’s fine.

That’s called honesty. Rare trait in software these days.

Who Is This For?

:white_check_mark: You want to save videos without getting a virus
:white_check_mark: You’re tired of sketchy download sites with more ads than content
:white_check_mark: You want something that just works
:white_check_mark: You like having control over your own tools
:white_check_mark: You have a computer and ten minutes of patience

Who Is This NOT For?

:cross_mark: People who want to mirror all of YouTube
:cross_mark: People running piracy empires
:cross_mark: People who think “self-hosted” means “someone else hosts it for me”

:link: Get It Here

GitHub:

It’s source code. You run it yourself. On your own computer or server.

If that sentence made your eyes glaze over — that’s okay. There are tutorials. You’ll survive.

Drop a :star: on the repo if you’re not a monster.

Summary For People Who Scroll

Paste link. Get video. No bullshit.

Built by someone who got tired of the internet being terrible.

Now stop giving sketchy download sites your dignity.
