1Hack FAQ

Where curiosity meets creation — and every idea finds its hack.

It is not that we are “hackers,” but we stay with the questions much longer. Persistent curiosity and finding solutions to problems is exactly what 1Hack promotes.

💡 What’s 1Hack?

“We are all beginners in a craft where no one ever becomes a master.” — This highlights the continuous learning and curiosity-driven approach that defines 1Hack’s community.

Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much. 1Hackers don’t follow where the path may lead. Instead, we go where there is no path and leave a trail for others.

🧰 What can I post?
  • Help us, help you: Post questions, get answers, or help someone else out with their problem.

    • Create a new topic on OneHack.us for your query so that all 1Hackers can help you get it resolved. :flexed_biceps:

    • If no one’s able to solve it, our team will step in and assist you in every possible way.

    • :warning: Just remember:
      • Don’t ask for premium or paid stuff for free — that’s not allowed.
      • Only genuine help queries are allowed.
      • Use help as the only tag for your topic.

  • Share your tools: If you’ve got something useful, don’t keep it to yourself.

  • Tutorials: Show us how you did something awesome.

  • Money-making ideas: Share your side-hustles and hacks, but keep it legit.

  • Affiliate stuff: If it’s useful to the community, share it—no spam, please.

🚫 What’s NOT allowed?
  • Pirated or cracked stuff: Don’t ask for free premium stuff or share it here.
  • Spamming: Keep it relevant, keep it helpful.
  • Drama: No fighting, no trolling.
  • Adult content: If it’s explicit, it gets deleted. Simple.

🤝 How do I get involved?

Simple—start by being useful.

  • Solve Help tags. Answer questions, share knowledge.
  • Post awesome topics. Stuff people actually want to read.
  • We will help you if your content is :fire:, we’ll pin it globally and share it with everyone.
  • Do something that matters for the 1Hack community.
  • Stay active: The more you contribute, the more respect you earn.
  • Build your profile here—make yourself known.

That’s how we all started. No shortcuts, no special treatment. Prove your value, and you’ll get your place.

🧡 How do I become part of the team?

First, get involved and take initiative, even if it’s small at first, is the way to eventually become part of something bigger.

You will be recognized for the value you bring, not for the likes or views you hold.

By consistently helping, sharing, and adding value, you’ll carve out your own space in the community and earn your place through real contributions.

🏷️ Can I sell stuff?

Selling here is strictly for staff members and a few retired staff who are trusted. Don’t try to sell anything yourself—if we let everyone sell, things get messy.

Non-staff sellers often cause issues, and when scams happen, people blame 1Hack, even though it’s the seller’s fault. To keep things smooth and safe, we limit sales to staff only.

  • Remember, we’re a small team—just 17 people in total, and only 2-3 working full-time. The rest are volunteers. So, show some respect, and keep the sales circle tight.

⚠️ Important rules to follow
  • Stay cool: Keep the negativity out. If you don’t like something, fine—just keep it to yourself. Everyone’s got an opinion, but don’t shove yours down anyone’s throat.

    • Be cool, or if you can’t, there’s always the option to not visit 1Hack. Please, choose that option if it’s not your vibe.
  • Moderation happens: If your post gets edited or delayed, don’t freak out. We’re just making sure it’s up to standard.

    • All topics and some replies go through moderation.
    • If a staff member feels like editing or improving your post, they might completely revamp it while it’s under review.
    • We’d rather make sure it goes live with the necessary edits than risk it getting deleted in the review process.
    • The goal is to refine and improve, even though perfection isn’t always possible. but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence. So, don’t be surprised if we tweak things a bit!
  • Only staff can sell: We keep control over sales to avoid scams.

🚫 Why Was I Banned?

Here’s the deal: Don’t be a pain. :peach: 1Hack is a place for sharing, learning, and growing—everything is free, and if anything is sold (like group buys), it’s all managed by staff.

If you start causing drama or throwing shade, don’t think you can drop a snarky comment  and walk away like nothing happened. :man_walking: It might seem like just a tiny “real” reply to you, but for us, it’s a big deal. A single seed of doubt can poison the mind, and once it’s planted, you can’t unscramble the eggs.

  • It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. So try to be the change.

  • Don’t be the reason 1Hack becomes a nightmare for the new 1Hackers. Keep the chaos out.

We’re here to keep the peace :milky_way: and build a community that lasts.
For some, if 1Hack goes down, it’s whatever. But for us? It’s a vision—this place is meant to grow, not be held back by random opinions.

  • The time is always right to do what is right. Respecting the community and its rules should be done consistently and without delay.
  • You can choose to either contribute positively to the community or disrupt it, and the consequences of that choice.
  • You don’t have to be a genius to know that if you make a mess, someone’s going to have to clean it up. So, first, we’ll silence your account :bell_with_slash:. Keep it up, and you’ll get the permanent ban treatment :prohibited:. Disruptive behavior will inevitably lead to consequences, and the need to keep things in order. :fire_extinguisher:

🏁 Final Word

Building a visionary community requires one thing above all else: a commitment to the long term.

Have a constructive approach to challenges rather than letting disruptive behavior take away from the opportunity to build 1Hack into a positive community.

It’s not going to be easy. Expect bumps, setbacks, and drama. It’s important to maintain a calm and respectful attitude in the community, despite disagreements or frustrations. So, don’t judge 1Hack based on a few hiccups—it’s bigger than that. The whole is always greater than the sum of its parts. So, buckle up. This isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon. :man_running::dashing_away:

Hope this gives you exactly what you need!
