IDM 6.42 Build 52+ got smarter:

  • Freeze shows “successful” but nag still appears — Reboot after freezing. Usually clears itself.
  • Timing detection — If you freeze too fast after fresh install, IDM might flag you. Wait a minute.
  • YouTube downloads broken sometimes — Not a freeze issue. YouTube updates their player constantly. Update IDM or use yt-dlp instead.
