[SOLVED] How to install Ubuntu on my Laptop without using a USB or DVD

Hello everyone, new user here. I have an old laptop which has Windows 10 installed. Due to a bug with the latest windows (some hardware incompatibility), I would like to change my OS to ubuntu. Unfortunately, I don’t have a DVD, and I can’t buy a USB drive from the store (will probably be beaten black and blue by the Police due to the strict lockdown).
Is there any method I can install ubuntu without using a bootable usb ? I have tried ubetbootin but after the procedure, when I select unetbootin from the select OS menu, I get the error that \ubnldr.mbr missing or corrupt.
Can someone help please?

First of all, Unetbootin is to BURN the .iso image to the USB drive and make it bootable. You don’t boot with Unetbootin.

and To install any Ubuntu Desktop without expert-level skills, you’ll need about 15G (or more) of available storage and 1-5 partitions available. If the machine came with Win10, you can shrink the existing partitions to make room on the internal HDD. If you are an expert, you can manually install it, but doing that is ugly. recommended, It might be easier to get a USB stick and install the DVD ISO on it once they lift the lockdown. until then stick to windows 10 and you always have the option to fix it online under compatibility mode.

Anyway, the solution is here if you want to install ubuntu, It is possible to install over a network if you have Internet access will need a disk drive with an empty partition.
