Win 10 registry editing question

Hi All!

I am quite a beginner and came across this kind of problem. In the Windows 10 registry, there is a folder, for example: “Computer \ HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ WindowsSelfHost \ OneSettings” where windows (or programs) apparently writes that have been installed on that computer. The record is in REG_SZ format so I can’t directly modify it (modify BinaryData is an option in regedit, under “TargetingAttributes”) I dare not delete this completely because it contains information about many programs, is there a way to modify these? So I want to know if records can be edited and with what tool?

I am also not an expert at registry editing, but one thing I know is that making changes without knowing exactly what you’re doing is the quickest way to f**k up your computer. Proceed with caution.

Before doing changes

  1. Create System Restore Point
  2. Backup your current Registry file in case something goes wrong.

Then Proceed whatever u want to do with registry edits.
