There could be multiple reasons most probably being that they dont know how to grow a channel and need to do selling like what if you have money but dont have time so just hit up a guy selling for cheap its a win win for both parties on the other hand one more reason can be there like a guy secretly buying a channel and the audience doesnt know the new owner and the new guy just tries to scam based on the trust built by the previous owner. Your question is like why do people buy cars instead of buidling one
