I had the same problem, turned out that the camera lens was dirty and didn’t allow the camera to focus properly, so for me, the transparent sellotape trick on camera lens worked like a charm, watch this video!

TIP >>> First clean the lens with a single water droplet and gently rub it with a cotton cloth, also before applying the sellotape check for the sticky side of the sellotape, there should not be any gum lines or other particles on the sticky side, if the sellotape is clean on sticky side with no gum lines and particle, then apply the sellotape to the camera gently, use your thumb to press the sellotape on camera until you see on camera app it’s more clear than before, then clear the cache/cookies of web.whatsapp in your laptop/pc browser before opening the web.whatsapp.com link.

Other fixes that worked for many people

  1. To run the WhatsApp on PC, you need to scan the QR code from your WhatsApp web into your WhatsApp app on your Phone. A low-resolution phone camera does not capture the QR code properly & clearly. So, to ensure the phone will capture QR code clearly, zoom in the WhatsApp web page.
    Open the WhatsApp web page.
Zoom in on the web page by pressing the Ctrl and + key together.
Your QR code will be zoomed in. Now again try to scan the QR code and you may be able to fix WhatsApp Web Not Working issue.

  2. Many people also tried a free app called ‘Rotation Locker‘ by Madmack. It is very simple to use, it has 3 options, Automatic, Portrait or landscape.
I set the screen to lock to landscape mode, opened up WhatsApp on my phone, went to the WhatsApp Web setting, and scanned the QR code from the website and it immediately logged me into the WhatsApp Web.
Once connected you can then go back to your phone and change the orientation to automatic and continue to use it as normal.

  3. Another solution was to use ‘Flip This’ chrome extension and rotate the QR code by 90 degrees. The WhatsApp logo at the center of the QR code would not change its orientation on the camera (as it is a different image) but the QR code would be rotated and your phone would be able to scan it.

  4. Use Deluminate chrome extension, if you’re phone is having light & contrast issues.

  5. If your camera is as blur as your future and it doesn’t seems to be working at any chance, then you can go with BlueStacks on PC without scanning any QR code how to use whatsapp on pc bluestacks? - youtube search

  6. Atlast you can also use a webcam as your mobile camera using infinitegra.trial.usbcamera app or any similar app that can scan QR code and log in to the web WhatsApp. :woman_facepalming:  :dancer: :dancing_women:
