hey guys how can i download videos that are hosted on vimeo and protected from downloading are there any methods available to get videos

Yes, there are many Extension out there as suggested above by Chris and the one that works the best but cost you as well after 1 days trail: Download Vimeo Videos, Premium other than Protected videos downloading not that easy but the worth thing is to try something.

Remember one thing about Vimeo: If the video owner didn’t disable the video download option, you should be able to download it, and if not - you can’t. Vimeo made this feature for its users to control over it.

And If you ever get the sorry this video cannot play here message using the direct URL, then your only good option currently is a screen recorder or programs like Replay Media Catcher that have the DVR function (basically a screen recorder with extra features). Read the description on page for better understanding.
