GIFs have been around for ages but creating them is still fiddly. GIFcap makes the process easier by letting you record your desktop’s screen — perfect for producing GIFs from video clips, for example.
Simply launch the site and get the content you wish to capture ready. Then click Start Recording and choose whether to record the entire screen, an application window, or a browser tab.
Once you’ve finished recording, you can trim the length of your clip by adjusting the slider beneath, or crop it by highlighting the part of the screen you want to keep.
Then select Render to produce a downloadable GIF.
