So recently I was selling a couple of things on Craigslist for someone, and they got this weird message.
It is a little scummy, but it did seem to fool them.
-
Sign up for a free VOIP number on Google Play or wherever you want
-
Go to Craigslist and look for anyone selling anything with their number listed
-
Contact them with your VOIP saying you’re interested in the product
-
After you talk a little, go to Google Voice > Get A Number > Verify Your Phone Number
-
Type in the sellers number and send them the code (Only once)
-
Now contact the seller and ask them for the code saying something like
“I need to verify you’re a real person, can you send me the code I just sent to your number?” and bam!
Note: I haven’t actually tried this, but I thought it was pretty clever. If someone can confirm it doesn’t work, I’ll take it down.
