How To Run Adobe Applications On Linux Machine

Adobe products don’t run natively on Linux. Even with wine there are bugs (check the AppDB page).

Even though there are alternatives, for the most part Adobe’s programs are much better imo

Here’s how you run Adobe apps, without a license and without bugs on Linux (any distro) -

  1. Go to https://github.com/G…hotoshopCClinux for Photoshop
    and https://github.com/G…ustratorCClinux for Illustrator
    (thanks to Gictorbit)
  2. Download the latest release, extract and run setup.sh as superuser
  3. Enjoy! The .desktop app icons files will be added automatically for Gnome/Rofi etc app launchers
  4. For other Adobe programs you’ll need to use Wine. Adobe XD will not work since it’s not a “classic” Windows app.

Happy learning!
