How to Fix Windows 10 Taskbar Not Hiding in Full Screen like VLC Player and many more…

Recently, a lot of users report the Windows 10 taskbar not hiding in full screen issue. If your taskbar also won’t auto-hide on your PC, no worries, here are two fixes for the taskbar not hiding in full screen mode in Windows 10.

1. Check the Taskbar Settings

  • Step 1. Press Windows key + I altogether to open Settings

  • Step 2. Click Personalization , and then Taskbar

  • Step 3. There are two options that manage the auto-hiding functionality of the Windows 10 taskbar: “Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode” and “Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode”

  • Step 4. Enable “Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode”, and the Windows 10 taskbar will be hidden automatically.

2. Restart Windows Explorer to Fix Windows 10 Taskbar Not Hiding in Full Screen Issue

  • Step 1. Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl-Shift-Esc to open the Windows Task Manager.

  • Step 2. If you see only the basic interface, click on more details.

  • Step 3. Locate the Windows Explorer process under processes, and click on it with the left mouse button.

  • Step 4. Click on the restart button to restart the process.

thanks sam i am facing this problem before by using this method i am able to solve it thanks for ur response n have a question that for 1st option it hides the hole taskbar even when it is minimized screen n second one is the best suitable method sam thanks u very much for ur work
