wow!. worked and thanks. 1000 Love to you.

I tried this on Windows 11 Pro and it removed the banner saying I should activate Windows when I open Settings but I can’t change brightness level.

Any help will be appreciated. thanks

If you cannot adjust brightness in Windows 11, try checking if “Change brightness automatically when lighting changes” is enabled. If not, try disabling and enabling the graphics driver, reinstalling drivers, or updating Windows, as brightness issues can sometimes stem from driver or software problems.

Here’s a more detailed breakdown of potential solutions:

  1. Check for Automatic Brightness:
  • Go to Settings > System > Display.
  • Look for the “Change brightness automatically when lighting changes” toggle and ensure it’s turned off.
  1. Graphics Driver Issues:
  • Disable and Enable:

In Device Manager (search for it in the Start menu), go to Display adapters, select your graphics card, and disable it, then re-enable it.

  • Reinstall Drivers:

Uninstall the display drivers through Device Manager (right-click, Uninstall device, and select the option to delete the driver software). Then, reinstall them, ideally by downloading the latest drivers from your computer manufacturer’s website.

  • Update Drivers:

Check for driver updates in Device Manager (right-click, Update driver) or through your manufacturer’s software.

  • Windows Updates:

Ensure your Windows 11 installation is fully updated.

Troubleshoot, and you will see, thousand of users doesn’t have the brightness slider, it can be due to Windows 11 updates or testing and many said, they just ‘‘removed the slider from this version of Windows. Forcing us to use the monitor buttons to improve purposes’’ So kindly, checkout, Reddit, Microsoft forums to get it covered!

Thanks for your detailed guide, I have an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti CPU AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor and I didn’t see this part in my Settings

  • Look for the “Change brightness automatically when lighting changes” toggle and ensure it’s turned off.

all I did was to download the Nvidia Drivers app but couldn’t see drivers for RTX 4070 Ti, so I found settings in the app to lower the brightness level. I could manage that.

THANKS For your help bro :handshake:
