Help with Google Colabs Torrent

I was using the Python method posted here previously to download a torrent but it stopped at 75% when the Colab disconnected.

Reconnecting gets a busy message and when it eventually does the torrent doesn’t resume and the drive is dismounted.

Is there any way to successfully resume the torrent or at the very least save the contents? When I try to view files after the disconnect there doesn’t seem to be anything there. Are they gone?

Any help is appreciated!

It’s just over 100Gb.

Colab gives 77 GB Space not possible through Colab plus its not allowed to torrent on Colab could lead to account suspension.

FYI, sometimes it extends the storage unto 100-108GB. It depends on the capacity available at that time.

Ca it be done/bypassed with an edu, unlimited acc.?

No, Google knew what was coming which resulted in downgrading Colab space from 350GB to 70GB. If there is a workaround it must be Colab Pro or I recommend downloading torrents on your local system through a VPN.
