GRE/TOEFL tips, tricks and resource

Hey 1hackers, I am planning to go abroad (spring 2023) for master’s for which I need to take GRE and TOEFL exams.
So, each and any tips would be appreciated along with if you have any resource like PDF’s or which books to refer, etc.

Thank you

There are a couple of things that you have to do before starting your TOEFL preparation.

First of all, you need to know what TOEFL is, test pattern, etc.

The next step is the minimum marks you need to pass. how much you need to score, as every university has its own criteria. Having an exact number will make your preparation process more targeted.

Making a habit of reading books related to testing preparation plus some novels and trying to listen to famous speeches on various sites will improve your hearing/listening capability. Give 2-3 hours daily.

Try to write on different topics on your own.

There are many free resources available for the free ones first and after that, if you feel you still need more of them, buy an official TOEFL book.

Attempt practice tests as much as you can to check your accuracy.

Try to speak with native speakers.

Understanding is the essential step. You need to know the context of what the other person is saying.

It’s not as hard as some people say, you need to be more focused, and thats all you need to pass an exam.

All the best wishes for your test.
