Well I took the ethical hacking course ,and after just a single lesson (which I had skipped to see what content lies ahead), I already got my completion certificate, not that I mind getting the certificate for free but I basically didn’t learn anything

Actually the free ones are just a preview for their paid courses and contain only a fraction of the full course curriculum.
